✏️ The Simple Past in Greek: Easy Verbs, Real-Life Examples + Full Conjugation

Welcome to Matheno Ellinika!
If you're learning Greek, one of the most useful tenses to master early on is the Simple Past — known in Greek as the Aorist (Αόριστος).

We use the aorist to talk about actions that are completed in the past:
“I ate”, “I saw”, “I went”, “I did”.
It’s a must for everyday conversations — and not as hard as it looks!

Let’s start with two very common and useful verbs:
βλέπω → είδα (to see → I saw)
τρώω → έφαγα (to eat → I ate)

Verb 1: Βλέπω → Είδα (I see → I saw)
